Andrew is a chartered town planner with over 20 years’ experience across both the public and private sectors.

Andrew is head of the Marrons Nottingham office and specialises in residential and strategic land, with a strong track record of securing complex planning consents that unlock development potential for clients across the country.

He works closely with housebuilders, land promoters, and landowners, advising on the promotion and delivery of medium to large-scale residential and commercial developments – including sustainable urban extensions (SUEs) and new settlements. His strategic insight and clear, commercially grounded advice help clients navigate the planning system efficiently and maximise development opportunities.

Andrew has a strong track record of representing clients through the emerging local plan process and at examinations in public (EIPs), successfully promoting strategic sites through to allocation. He also regularly acts as an expert witness at public inquiries and hearings for large-scale residential schemes, presenting robust, evidence-led cases to secure planning permission.

Pragmatic and results-driven, Andrew supports clients through every stage of the planning process – from early-stage promotion through to comprehensive planning applications – ensuring proposals are evidence-led, deliverable, and either aligned with policy or have strong material considerations to support departure from policy.
