Marrons announces nine promotions

Multi-disciplinary development consultancy Marrons has announced nine promotions across its planning, masterplanning and urban design, heritage and socio economics teams.

Effective May 2026, planners Jake Horton, Sam Muir and Megan Simpson have been promoted to associate level.

Jake specialises in planning policy and strategic development, bringing local government experience to advising on strategic land promotion, housing strategy, and the preparation of local and neighbourhood plans.

Sam has a broad range of planning experience across the public and private sectors, with a focus on residential planning and a particular interest in planning appeals.

Megan is a chartered town planner who provides planning advice across a range of residential and commercial projects, supporting clients through all stages of the planning process.

Jack Barnes and Kai Blackmore have been promoted to senior planners, Brixie Payne has been promoted to senior heritage planner, and Rhys Vaughan Prosser has been promoted to senior graphic designer and illustrator.

Jack specialises in strategic land promotion and urban brownfield regeneration, helping clients unlock development potential and progress complex sites through the planning system.

Kai advises on planning strategy and manages a wide range of applications, with a focus on strategic land and large-scale development projects across the South West and Thames Valley.

Brixie specialises in heritage planning, providing research-led advice and impact assessments to support development proposals involving a wide range of built heritage assets such as listed buildings and conservation areas.

Rhys heads up the graphic design and communication service and is a graphic designer and illustrator within the masterplanning and urban design team, supporting the visual communication of planning and design proposals.

In the socio economics team, Isabelle Woodville-Hill has been promoted to senior planner. Isabelle supports clients across a wide range of planning projects, delivering data-driven research and analysis for planning applications, with a focus on socio economic and health impact assessments.

In the masterplanning and urban design team, Max Chen has been promoted to assistant urban designer. Max brings a multidisciplinary background in urban design, planning and architecture, supporting the delivery of strategic spatial planning and masterplanning projects.
