With more than 5 years in the development planning sector, Sam has recently moved from planning consultancy to Urban Design.
Sam has experience in residential and commercial developments at a range of scales across the Midlands and further afield, and brings a detailed knowledge of the planning system to the discipline of Urban Design. He has consistently worked to overcome barriers to development for his clients, and will be utilising his expertise to develop concept plans, masterplans, design and access statements, and a range of other plans and documents that work to progress proposals through the planning system.
High quality design is good for everyone – it’s good for developers as it increases the likelihood of securing planning permission at an early stage and makes schemes more attractive; it’s good for occupiers, providing an attractive and well thought out environment; and it’s good for neighbours, reducing opposition to proposals. I’m excited to be involved in creating such designs.
