Lizzie Smith

Lizzie joined Marrons in August 2025 after completing her master's degree in urban studies and planning from the University of Sheffield.

Lizzie is currently working towards chartered town planner status and is developing experience across complex and high-profile planning projects.

Since joining Marrons, her work has focused on strategic land promotion, as well as complex major residential-led developments and associated infrastructure to support the delivery of housing and sustainable growth. She has actively been involved in major Green Belt and grey belt projects, sustainable urban extensions, new settlements and complex planning appeals.

Lizzie’s responsibilities to date include the preparation of pre-applications, detailed planning research and site appraisals, assistance on the preparation of planning statements and reports to support project delivery. She liaises directly with clients, councillors and local authorities to achieve effective and positive planning outcomes.
