Associate Transport Planner
Kurt is a Associate Transport Planner that has worked in both public and private sectors, with a strong background in working within a multi disciplinary team.
Kurt has over 11 years of experience delivering transport and highways advice across a wide range of development projects. As part of the Marrons Transport Team, he supports schemes from initial masterplanning through to planning submission, post-application negotiations, and the discharge of transport-related planning conditions.
He has extensive expertise in preparing transport assessments and supporting documentation, alongside strong AutoCAD and junction modelling capabilities. Kurt plays a key role in the early design stages of projects, identifying suitable access arrangements, assessing highways and transport constraints, and developing practical mitigation solutions.
Known for his pragmatic and collaborative approach, Kurt considers the wider factors influencing scheme design and is adept at finding innovative, effective solutions. He also has experience promoting sites through the Local Plan process, assessing infrastructure capacity and identifying transport improvements required to support future development.
What I enjoy most about my role is helping to shape developments that create lasting benefits for communities. Every project presents a unique challenge, and I find it rewarding to work collaboratively with clients to identify practical transport solutions that support their ambitions while meeting planning and infrastructure requirements. I enjoy building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted specialist throughout the development process, from early site promotion and masterplanning through to planning approval. What motivates me to come to work each day is the opportunity to solve complex problems, think creatively, and contribute to projects that make a positive impact on the places where people live, work, and travel.
