Hannah Malyon
Principal Planner
Hannah brings expertise in development management, strategic planning and planning policy.
Hannah has led complex planning proposals and managed large-scale residential developments and mixed-use regeneration schemes, including environmental impact assessment (EIA) developments. Her experience covers planning applications, appeals, strategic land promotion, local plan representations and examinations, and advising evidence base documents.
With a MSc in Environment, Politics and Society, and over five years’ experience at the Environment Agency, Hannah has specialist knowledge in environmental legislation and regulations. She has worked closely with central and local government, utility providers, and infrastructure partners on a range of high-profile planning proposals and regional planning issues. She is skilled in navigating planning politics and has a strong understanding of local authority processes and is experienced in community and stakeholder engagement.
Hannah is recognised for her strong influencing and negotiating skills. She takes a strategic and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, balancing the competing interests of multiple stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
She works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and has a proven track record of unlocking complex and constrained sites for residential and commercial development.
Based in Marrons’ newly opened Leeds office, Hannah play’s a central role in supporting the firm’s growth in the North.
