Hannah leads the heritage team and is a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.
Hannah holds a MA in Conservation Studies (Historic Buildings) and has also completed a PGDip in Urban Design. She has over 13 years’ experience advising on heritage issues across strategic land, development management, energy, and regeneration projects. She works nationally with land promoters, housebuilders, architects, planners and private clients to help shape development proposals that respect heritage significance while enabling progress.
She understands that development in the historic environment brings unique challenges as well as exciting opportunities. Her approach is rooted in a strong grasp of planning legislation and heritage policy, combined with a collaborative working style that supports productive relationships across wider project teams. She is skilled in liaison and negotiation, with long-standing connections across a wide network of stakeholders. Her work is underpinned by a passion for the historic environment and a commitment to delivering sensitive, pragmatic solutions that balance change with the conservation and celebration of heritage significance.
Hannah has a strong background in both the public and private sectors and is confident in applying national policy and legislation to inform the future of historic places. She has supported new development in rural and urban contexts, sensitive conversions of listed buildings, and enforcement matters. She also has a wealth of experience across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects at all levels, including NSIPs. Her pragmatic and commercially aware approach is valued by clients who need both expert heritage advice and practical outcomes.
