Achieved 45% revenue growth as national expansion gathers pace

We have recorded a 45% increase in revenue for the 2024/25 financial year, taking our turnover to £9.6m – driven by strategic hires, new office openings and a surge in demand for its multi-disciplinary services.

Specialising in planning, architecture, urban design, socio economics and heritage consultancy, we work with developers, landowners, local authorities, businesses and communities to deliver high-quality, sustainable developments across the UK.

Over the past year, we have strengthened our architecture, planning, urban design and heritage teams, making nine internal promotions and welcoming two experienced planning directors to our South East team, working with clients across Kent, Essex, Sussex, Hertfordshire, the Thames Valley and outer London.

We’ve also expanded our geographical reach, opening a new office in Sheffield to support growth in the north of England, and relocating our Bristol office to a modern workspace just four minutes from Temple Meads railway station.

This momentum has continued into the current financial year. In addition to launching new offices in Leeds and Tunbridge Wells – with experienced planning partner Dan Mitchell appointed to lead the Leeds team, and socio economics partner Simon Macklen leading the charge in Tunbridge Wells – we’ve also relocated our Nottingham office to a larger, more agile space to accommodate growing teams.

We’ve also recruited David Kemp as associate director of urban design to establish a new Yorkshire design hub, and plans are already underway to open a Manchester office later this year.

Brian Mullin, head of Marrons, said: “Marrons’ significant growth has been supported by our ability to attract emerging talent and industry leaders from across the UK. We are dedicated to retaining the best talent and finding new markets that align with the diverse services we deliver to a range of sectors in the development industry. We have a supportive and nurturing culture within the organisation and our relationship with our legal colleagues across Ampa Group ensures our clients benefit from legally underpinned advice.”

Marrons now operates from hubs in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Leicester, Lincoln, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Sheffield, Solihull, Southampton, Stratford-upon-Avon and Tunbridge Wells, with further expansion planned for 2025/26.
