Rhian Jones

Rhian brings knowledge and experience in planning, placemaking, and urban development, helping to deliver projects that enhance both communities and the built environment.

She has gained hands-on experience in both public and private sector settings, developing a strong understanding of how people interact with places and how design can shape positive outcomes for communities. Her placement year in Cardiff Council’s Placemaking team involved working on city improvement initiatives, including wayfinding and street furniture enhancements, providing practical insights into creating well-considered public spaces.

Rhian also worked with the Secured by Design team, gaining expertise in incorporating safety and security considerations into residential and educational developments. This experience has given her a clear appreciation of the practical and regulatory considerations that help make developments both safe and well-integrated into their neighbourhoods.
