Matthew is an urban designer and chartered town planner (MRTPI) with experience in both the public and private sectors.

Building on his BSc (Hons) in geography, and his MSc in urban and regional planning, Matthew brings a practical mix of planning knowledge and design skills to support the delivery of well-considered, policy-responsive places.

He works across residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects, helping to shape development strategies that balance context, constraints, and opportunities.

Matthew supports clients throughout the planning and design process — from early-stage visioning and site promotion to producing materials for planning applications. His work includes development framework plans, concept layouts, testing layouts to assess the best arrangement to maximise developable area, and supporting design documents that respond to local character and policy. He also regularly contributes to design and access statements and vision documents, shaping both the visual layout and the written content.

Matthew works closely with planners, technical consultants, and environmental specialists to ensure proposals are coordinated and grounded in evidence. This multidisciplinary collaboration helps ensure proposals are clear, deliverable, and aligned with wider project objectives.
