Tim Farley
Tim Farley is a Planning Director with Marrons. Tim operates nationwide, in a range of sectors, working for longstanding clients, but has a particular focus and expertise in the West and East Midlands and the West Country. Tim will confidently and carefully manage development management projects, strategic land and site promotion and more complex matters, including enforcement proceedings.
Tim’s balanced perspective and hands on approach enable him to deliver effective, commercially focused planning solutions for clients of all sizes.
Tim is able to navigate complex planning challenges and deliver commercially driven solutions across a wide range of development types. He has led and advised on major infrastructure schemes, small and large scale housing developments, regional employment parks, and a variety of renewable energy projects, bringing a strategic mindset and a practical understanding of how to unlock development potential. His broad experience enables him to support clients from initial feasibility and masterplanning, through to detailed applications, appeals, and implementation.
Tim also has a particular specialism in roadside services—including service areas, conventional fuel and EV charging facilities, and associated commercial uses. He is deeply engaged in the sector’s transition toward cleaner energy, with a strong interest in how renewable energy technologies, electric vehicle infrastructure, and alternative fuels are reshaping the transport landscape.
With a balanced perspective from both public and private-sector work, Tim combines technical insight with clear communication and a solution focused approach. He is committed to helping clients navigate evolving policy frameworks, manage risk, and deliver high quality, sustainable development.
My ambition is to help clients unlock development potential with clear, practical advice, delivering commercially sound, sustainable, future-focused projects that navigate complexity, embrace change, and create lasting value for their businesses
