Max Kidd-Rossiter is an experienced Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI). He joined Marrons at the start of 2026 to support its expanding presence in the North West. His background is firmly rooted in private-sector consultancy, working with major housebuilders, land promoters, landowners, and industrial operators across the region.

Throughout his career, Max has built deep expertise across residential, industrial, and strategic land promotion sectors. He has extensive experience coordinating development consortiums formed to respond to and challenge emerging Local Plan strategies in areas including Wirral, Cheshire East, Stockport, Places for Everyone (Greater Manchester), Cheshire West & Chester, and Warrington. His responsibilities have covered the preparation of detailed housing need assessments, five-year housing land supply (5YHLS) assessments, housing mix studies, and the drafting of robust representations for examinations. This strategic work is further complemented by hands-on development management expertise gained through leading major applications across the North West.

Max has project-managed numerous large-scale residential planning applications. These have involved complex planning arguments including Very Special Circumstances (VSC) and grey belt considerations. His experience also spans preparing and submitting planning appeals (both written representations and inquiries), representing clients at Local Plan examinations, and contributing to Development Consent Orders, Environmental Impact Assessments, planning appraisals, due diligence exercises, and flood risk sequential test analysis.

At Marrons, Max plays a pivotal role in supporting the consultancy’s northern growth strategy, helping grow a new Manchester presence and supporting private sector clients, developers, landowners, and public bodies with commercially grounded and pragmatic planning advice. He is passionate about shaping sustainable growth across a region undergoing rapid change, driven by demand for new homes, employment space, and major infrastructure, as well as the evolving national planning agenda and emerging Local Plans.
