With a strong and proven track record in local authority development management, Carl brings a deep understanding of the planning system and its practical application, helping clients navigate complex planning processes and situations with confidence.

Carl supports clients across all stages of the planning lifecycle, from identifying development potential and preparing planning statements to managing appeals and coordinating with planning authorities. His work is rooted in a passion for problem solving and delivering sustainable development that enables communities to grow and thrive.

Carl has a huge range of hands on experience dealing with heritage and landscape designations, Green and Grey belt. Having personally led on schemes ranging from extensions to Paragraph 84 dwellings, strategic housing and commercial allocations, and regionally significant developments such as the redevelopment of Aston Villa’s Villa Park and the post Commonwealth Games legacy works at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium

Carl holds relevant planning qualifications and is a chartered member of the RTPI. Carl’s experience spans a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and agriculture, permitted development rights, and utilising ‘fallback positions’.

Carl established a highly regarded reputation for his pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset, and his ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, local authorities, and project teams.
