Emma is an archaeology and heritage planner with knowledge and experience of all aspects of the historic environment including archaeology, built heritage and historic landscape.

Emma has experience nationally, working on a variety of projects across England, Scotland and Wales, requiring extensive knowledge of the historic environment of Britain and relevant planning policy and research agendas.

Emma is proficient in conducting conclusive research and drawing informed conclusions in regard to the historic environment. Her consultancy experience has provided her with a robust understanding of the UK planning system and can support on projects from conception through to delivery. Emma is committed to delivering well informed, reasoned technical advice, supporting clients whilst considering the importance of the UK’s historic environment.

Her project experience is diverse, across a range of sectors including large infrastructure projects such as Solar Development Consent Orders and residential urban extensions and has also provided more technical advice work on large scale landscape management programs, conservation area appraisals and historic building recordings. She has been involved in producing reports for a range of clients including developers, private individuals, local authorities and community groups.

Emma’s responsibilities include initial technical assessments of sites, preparation of Archaeological Desk Based Assessments, Heritage Statements, Historic Environment Desk Based Assessments, Written Schemes of Investigation, Cultural Heritage Chapter for ES and liaising directly with clients and subcontractors.

Emma is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Archaeologists (ACIfA) and Supporter of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC).
